Curious my entire life, I photograph what I find intriguing and hold dear. My earliest memories are of walking at dawn, alone though the farm land where we lived. I distinctly recall the way the first rays of golden sunlight wrapped around the tree bark bringing out the rough texture. I recall vividly the way the early light made crisp warm edges on the grass blades and I remember how damp my pant legs became as I walked through that tall grass. Of course, I was short and only 5 or 6 years old at the time.
Water has been a constant source of renewal and water is where I often turn for inspiration. There is a natural sensuousness and pleasure associated with water that I enjoy whenever and wherever. Water simply feels right.
The interplay of light and water presents a constantly changing show of color and form making a wonderfully willing subject.
